1960s Chanel haute couture cream slubbed silk shift dress and jacket, labelled and numbered (no.16625). The simple sleeveless dress echos the tennis dresses of the 1920s which she famously adapted to meet the needs of the modern woman. It has a notched neckline and front kick-pleat and fastens with a side zip. The matching boxy jacket, with four pockets is edged in cream reversing to navy petersham braid, and is complete with chain weighted hem.
